About SpainForum

SpainForum started because we were tired of digging through outdated blog posts, confusing government websites, and forum threads from 2017 to find basic answers about moving to Spain. So we decided to write the guides ourselves.

We are a small group of expats who went through the whole process: visas, padron, NIE, opening bank accounts, finding apartments that were not scams, figuring out taxes, and everything else that comes with starting a life in a new country. Some of us are digital nomads. Some moved for work. Some just wanted a change. All of us spent way too many hours figuring out stuff that should have been straightforward.

What we do

We write practical, detailed guides about the things people actually need to know when they are planning a move to Spain or have just arrived. No fluff, no clickbait "10 reasons you'll LOVE Spain" lists. Just the real information that helps you get things done.

Every guide is researched, fact-checked against official sources, and updated when things change. Spanish bureaucracy moves slowly, but it does move, and we try to keep up with it.

How we keep the lights on

SpainForum is free to read and always will be. We make money through sponsored content from companies that serve the expat community in Spain. Things like relocation services, insurance providers, banks, that sort of thing. Sponsored content is always clearly labeled, and we only work with companies we would actually recommend to a friend.

If you are a company that serves expats in Spain and want to reach our audience, check out our sponsored opportunities page.
